Competing with HIGNFY (as I understand it's known to its fans) and I'm a Celebrity ...! on Fridays at 9 pm on BBC2 at the moment is 'The Barristers' - a 4-part 'real life' series on life at the Bar.
It's no 'This Life' (even if it is narrated by Jack Davenport) so there has (as yet) been no sexual shenanigans on the clerks' room desks or white powder in the toilets but it does - I think - give a pretty good impression of what we do for our day (and often evenings and weekend) jobs. Two more parts to go - this Friday (28th) and next (5th). Worth catching if you can drag yourself away from the bushtucker trials ...

The Starting Point
Every blog needs a starting point, and this is mine.
As a barrister, time is money, and my time is fortunately much in demand by others. This will no doubt make it hard at times to keep a consistent dialogue going on the blog.
However, it's quality not quantity that counts. As an introduction to my world, I'll take a quote from The Pointer Sisters; "We are Family", and that'll be the basis of my commentary from this point on.
I hope to enjoy writing this, as much as others (well, anyone at all) enjoy reading it.
